A tummy tuck is an outpatient procedure that removes excess skin and fat from your abdominal area and tightens weakened or separated abdominal muscles for a toned, firm appearance.

This is especially popular for women post-pregnancy or anyone who’s experienced major weight loss and is left with loose skin or a bulging lower belly that doesn’t respond to exercise. During your consultation, Dr. Vennemeyer will walk you through all your options, including whether liposuction should be included for optimal contouring.

Your new flat, firm tummy is just a consultation away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do people choose tummy tuck surgery?

Many individuals opt for breast augmentation to restore breast volume after breastfeeding or pregnancy, often as part of a Mommy Makeover.

Others may seek breast augmentation to correct asymmetry, improve breast shape after significant weight loss, or simply enhance their body proportions. Whatever your reason, feeling comfortable and confident in your body is valid and achievable.

Am I a good candidate for a tummy tuck?

You may be a candidate if you’re in good health, have a BMI of 30 or below, and are done having children. It’s ideal for those with skin laxity, diastasis recti (muscle separation), or persistent belly fat.

How is a tummy tuck performed?

Under general anesthesia, Dr. Vennemeyer will make a low incision near the bikini line, remove excess skin and fat, and tighten the abdominal wall to create a firmer, flatter contour.

What is the recovery process like?

You’ll need to wear a compression garment, avoid strenuous activity for at least 6 weeks, and take time off work depending on the intensity of your job. Most patients begin light activity within a few days and see full results as swelling subsides over the following weeks.
